What is with these women?

Okay, so I realize I might get a little flamed here, but it is MY blog and I can say what I want. I only have about ten minutes so I know that I will not even begin to broach this subject like I really want to. But this is what's on my mind...

Seriously, why do women stay with cheating men?!!!! Never in my life do I think I have heard more about women, almost all in a public role, staying with their good for nothing, cheating dirt bags! Do they really think they will be happy with this person the rest of their life after they know they have had an affair? Odds are definately in favor of the men getting to "double dip" (bad choice of words, but you get my drift). It seems there are simply no reprecussions to cheating (that's why I love Reese Witherspoon, and we'll see about Elin:)

I mainly want to look at this from a women's point of view. So your scum bag (he is not a man at this point, at least to me) cheats...you have a couple options: Stay or go. I vote "go." Don't you think you stand a chance at love again? Maybe or maybe you don't want to, but at any rate would you really want to be with someone that has lied, betrayed vows, and was the ultimate in disrespect? I am just wondering why you would want to be with a person like that.

We've had too much of it! I feel like everytime I turn around I am hearing about another cheating celeb/politician and the wife is taking him back. I don't know who to be more upset with at this point - the husband or the wife...

I don't get it. I want girls today to be able to see strong female role models. I want them to know that you don't stand for infedility. You can forgive people, but it doesn't mean there isn't a consequence to bad behavior. If I ever had a daughter I most certainly would not want her to think that this was acceptable. And by no means do I want my son to ever think it's allowable to cheat on their spouse. Is this the society we live in now? That the minority believes it's okay to end a marriage if someone breaks their vows?

I think what gets me almost as upset as the lacking role models in these circumstances, is the fact that the forgiving women often times seem to portray this holy, loving, and understanding person. Understanding? Do you understand what just happened?? (insert HUGE eye roll here) PUHLeaze

Women, pick the right ones first and then hopefully you won't have this problem. But if it does happen, know you can do it alone, you are strong, you are a role model to your kids and other girls.

So any thoughts? Anyone else sick of seeing the woman take the dirt ball back? Ugh, why does it keep happening?
